Porter's

Posted on March 25, 2012
Wow! What a great night at Porter's!  Proprietor, Bill Buurmeester has a wonderful, intimate and casual venue for showcasing great local talent. He provides a wonderful evening of food and music for the Murrayville community. Last night was no exception - a grand time was had by all. Not only is Bill a talented Red Seal Chef, but he is an accomplished drummer. It was great being joined by him and Don Biggar on bass. Colin Rankin and Raina Morgan completed the band and we rocked the house down.
Thank you to the sold-out audience for making this event come alive. Please continue to support live music in our community!

Victoria's House Closing Night

Posted on February 25, 2012
It's been a great run and I've had a fabulous time playing eccentric Margaret St James! Tonight is our final performance. Thank you to director Angela Bell and cast members Gemma Martini, Kathleen Auton, Peter Godard, Joshua deGroot, Tomas Gamba, Tamara Prescott, Raymond Hatton and Robyn Roukema. Special kudos to Shelly Lewis for her remarkable stage managing and to Gail Ruginis who did a wonderful job of our hair. Bunny Patterson was responsible for the awesome costumes. There are just too many people to mention! Hope you had a chance to catch one of the most successful shows The Langley Players have ever put on!
Cast party and techies revenge tonight! I'm ready!

Fall is here!

Posted on October 11, 2011
It was a crazy summer - filled with happiness and sadness; accomplishment and planning. I was so very sad to lose a dear friend - Kimberly Baskerville. 43 years is way to young to leave this planet.

But the autumn rains are now here - the colours outside my window are exquisite with more shades of orange than I knew existed.

I'm excited about our upcoming gig this Saturday for the Envision Coffee House Concert Series in Abbotsford. This will be the first time we've played the House of James!

Kimberly Baskerville

Posted on August 15, 2011
It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the passing of a dear friend and colleague, Kimberly Baskerville (Kimmy Kat), who was the lead singer extraordinaire with the March Hare Band. My condolences go out to Dan Hare, Andy Smyth and Ian Paxton of the band and to all of Kimmy's family and friends. The world has lost a shining star!

Rhine Cruise

Posted on May 16, 2011
Had a fabulous time in Europe - Budapest, Vienna, Prague and a Rhine Cruise from Zurich to Amsterdam! So much music! Vienna, of course, will spoil you for both classical and jazz, but Prague was a lovely surprise.

Back in the saddle, getting ready for our next Porter's Coffee House gig as well as working on a few projects and acquisitions. We're thrilled to be selected to perform at the Envision Coffee House Concert Series again in Abbotsford for the 4th straight year!
